Sunflower

 The first flower that grew from the seed in my garden this summer. Giant Sunflower is true icon among flowers, the tallest, the biggest, the most bright one and probably the easiest to grow. 

Every east European child grew up eating sunflower seeds, we have so many different brands baking these seeds, that's one of most favourite snacks of millennia east European, guaranteed. We all have some sort of nostalgia related to sunflower. 

Apparantely SOLANTHOPILE is someone who is irresistibly in love with sunflowers, especially because of their positive vibe and aura. Yellow 💛 colour always symbolise positivity and sunshine, always associates with summer season. If your favourite flower is sunflower then I bet you and I will get along vibing and laughing from sunrise till sunset. 

According National sunflower association - Sunflowers been very popular about 3000 years before the Common Era (BCE) among North American Indian tribes. If these people knew its special flower, we definitely should carry on with using sunflower not only as bright positive and very aesthetic flower, but same getting all benefits out. Especially from seeds. 

Sunflower seeds are loaded with minerals and essential oils. Sunflower oil contains vitamin E, antioxidants and good fats that support heart health, improve skin and hair, and boost immunity. Sunflower oil has omega - 6 faty acids, which help reduce inflammation and lower triglyceride levels, which is good for cardiovascular system. 

I would recommend using organic, cold pressed sunflower oil on face or body, it's extremely good using on your hair too, tame frizz, soothe dry scalp and add shine. It can work wonders with your scalp because of anti-inflammatory properties.

 Back 2015 while I was still living in Lithuania and working in fashion with my boutique, I made a photo shoot to represent and pay attention to war happening in Ukraine with Russia, those days it was not as escalated as it is today, however all this wrongdoing and tension started long time ago. 

I'm extremely surprised, that it was allowed to go this far and become so tragic for everyone. In my opinion it could be prevented and never happened, but like always, mans world is all about power.

I strongly believe if women would rule the world, we would never have as many wars and violence as we having nowadays and all times, when man are responsible for ruling big powerful countries. 

Back 2015 I was trying to show that wars never ever bring peace or happiness, its pure destruction and unnecessary action towards anything positive, You can't wrap guns into textile or make it beautiful accessorie, the only outcome of gun is death. 

Today 2025 I am living in United Kingdom and seeing all this war propaganda and reading social media, I get really upset, because why nobody payed attention back 2014, when its all started. Why people so opinionated without knowing or paying any attention to history. Sometimes it feels like majority of politics and society are so extremely uneducated or even barbaric. 

Its my first blog after 10 years not blogging, and it my first blog in English, I still try keep it all about fashion and lifestyle, however, I urge to speak about most urgent topics, that's lingering on my mind. 

I must say the most important fact that at the time of Ukraine's independence from Russia in 1991, Ukraine held the third largest nuclear arsenal in the world, by 1996 Ukraine agreed and returned all of its nuclear warheads to Russia. This was signed by three nuclear powers: Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom. China and France gave somewhat weaker assurances and separate documents. 

However recent events showed, that there is no trust in any of the official (Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances) documents signed by most powerful countries of the world, because when it comes to actual events its ends in war, violence and cruelty. 

Everyone knows that War in Ukraine started 2022, however prior to invasion there had already been 8 years of conflict in Eastern Ukraine with Russia-backed separatists. No one stopped them for so long and people taking "sides" or trying to normalise wars or have any type of opinion, least should know the history,

As mother and woman, I do not support any type of cruelty, violence and war. I love slavic culture and slavic people and it hurts my heart, that men nowadays destroy everything only for what, lands? Power? 

What is this all going to be worth it if we will destroy children, elderly and women. If there will be no life left.
